Teddy Wins Poetry Award

Poetry SantaCruz, Santa Cruz County Office of Education, and National Writers Union Chapter 7 have selected a poem by Teddy as one of 65 to be included in there Annual Santa Cruz County High School Poetry Anthology. This was a selection from 465 entries. Needless to say we are all very proud of our budding artist who will be playing Jesus this weekend staring in Aptos High Schools production of Godspell. I believe with all his work in the drama class this year he plans to attend the Poetry Reading Awards Ceremony and read his work.

Spring in the New Garden

Last week I was able to take some time, on one of our very nice days, to make some wonderful photographs. There are some very nice flowers in the back, and the foliage of many of the trees and scrubs is loaded with red and green. The gardeners have done a fabulous job of keeping the areas clean, neat, and blooming.

With the warm weather and beautiful flowers I got to work and completed what will always be known as Libby's gate. For those if you who don't know the story Mom brought Libby for a visit a few months ago and we went out to lunch leaving the Dogs in the yard to play. We forgot entirely that our gates which are perfectly suited for a 95 lb Malamute to not escape would not hold a 30 lb Libby. She was waiting patiently by the car on our return. So you will notice that the new gate has no room for her to escape.
