One project off the list

I have finally completed one of my woodworking projects. This one has been in the shed for about six months. I am very pleased with the results. There were a lot of compromises due to equipment failures, and not having the tools that I needed to really do the job 100% but all in all I think it was a great learning experience and the result does not shy me off from starting a new one.

Gavin update

Well I am shocked to see that it has been a whole month since I have posted anything. Sorry to my reader but life has been very busy and my computer is so, so slow. I have some pictures from mothers day that were taken of Gavin not the best but will give you a good idea of his size. He is changing from the baby look to a toddler appearance. His ability to get around and his total disregard for danger keep him slim and always nursing some boo boo somewhere.

He and I have established a morning routine that is teaching me a great deal about his ability to learn and mimic. I find that after breakfast his favorite activity is to take the newspaper which I read during our breakfast together (we like to discuss the baseball box scores at length) put it on the floor and turn each page carefully just like Opa does. Then its off to the computer for an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba as usual. His computer skills are amazing for a two year old. He understands which icons get responces and how to use the mouse and its buttons. He can even translate this activity to Teddy's laptop which has a touchpad instead of a mouse.

It has been a great pleasure having him here to help raise, watch grow and I am enjoying it immensely.
