What a difference a year makes.

Was it worth it? No question about it. With the flowers blooming and a full time professional gardener on the case the house looks wonderful. Here is a picture taking about a month into the project with only the fence up. The old wooden porch which you cannot see was still in place and the driveway had just been finished.
Now there are many differences, the fence fits in well with the overall fence and deck structure, the driveway is almost everybody's favorite. Most amusing is that we have now seen severe homes in the area change to this very form of driveway. The paint job on the house has held up really well over the first year. The production form the solar panels just visible on the left corner of the roof is better than we expected. The automated irrigation system keeps it all watered and the gardener comes every two weeks to clean it up.

The best part for Revel is that the hight of the porch and the fence are perfectly matched to allow him to lay on the porch and enjoy watching what goes on in the street. I cannot tell you how good I feel that he is good enough now off leach to allow out front without a concern. He can jump the fence without thinking about it as he did when his buddy Libby came for a visit but he was jumping in not out.
