Headed out to Big Basin this morning for a nice long walk in the woods.
The plan was Sunset Trail to Golden Falls, then Silver Falls, and
finally Berry Creek Falls. Returning to the ranger station via Skyline
to the Sea Trail. Renate, Teddy and I did this with some friends of
mine 15 years ago. It was a beautiful day with temps in the 50s when I
left and 65 when I got back 5 hours later. The falls are doing ok for
June, not real full. Elda here are the numbers 5hours, 22minutes,
11.5 miles, 18,476 steps, and the biggy 1,367 calories burned. No people or dog pictures, family did not want to go this far and Revel who is recovering from a flare-up of arthritis in his right front leg is not allowed in State Parks.
You can see all the photos at Big Basin June 22 album
